RULE BOOK DISCLAIMER

The rules and/or regulations set forth herein are designed to provide for the orderly conduct of racing events and to establish minimum acceptable requirements for such events. These rules shall govern the condition of all events, and by participating in these events, all participants are deemed to have complied with these rules. NO EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OF SAFETY SHALL RESULT FROM PUBLICATIONS OF OR COMPLIANCE WITH THESE RULES AND/OR REGULATIONS. They are intended as a guide for the conduct of the sport and are in no way a guarantee against injury or death to a participant, spectator or official.

The race director shall be empowered to permit reasonable and appropriate deviation from any of the specifications herein or impose any further restrictions that in his/her opinion does not alter the minimum acceptable requirements. NO EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OF SAFETY SHALL RESULT FROM SUCH ALTERATION OF SPECIFICATIONS.  Any interpretation or deviation of these rules is left to the discretion of the officials. Their decision is final.

The Management of MOUNTAIN VIEW RACEWAY

 

MOUNTAIN VIEW STREET STOCK RULES

 

SAFETY:

  1.   Safety is the primary responsibility of the RACER !!!!!!!!!

  2.   Track requires drivers to have a SFI-Approved full fire suit (top, bottom or one-piece), gloves, and shoes.  Full-Face Helmet required     (SFI rating optional, but highly recommended).

 3. Snell rated SA2010 or SA2015 full-face helmet required.

4.  Aluminum Racing seat mandatory and must be bolted in with at least four ½” bolts.

 5.  Track recommends the use of a head and neck restraint system but is not required.

 6. All cars must have a fully charged fire extinguisher mounted within reach of the driver.

 7. All cars must have a kill switch within easy reach of the driver and track personal, and clearly marked    “Off” and “On”.

 8. All cars must have a quality fuel cell with roll over valve (check valve) in fuel cell vent.

 9. Minimum of three (3) inch wide, two (2) inch if using head and neck restraint, SFI-Approved five-point safety belts, mounted securely to the roll cage. (Recommend belts be no more than three years old.)

 10. RaceCeiver one-way radios are REQUIRED, AND must be worn at all times when on racetrack.

 11. NO two-way radios, cell phones, or other communication devices will be allowed. RaceCeiver is the   ONLY communication device permitted. Drivers caught with any other communication device will be disqualified for that event (heat or feature).

 12. No mirrors are allowed at any location on or in the car.

 13. ALL weight/lead must be painted white and include the car number. Weight must be securely fastened to the car with a minimum two (2) ½” diameter bolts. No weight may be attached to the back bumper. No weight is to be mounted no higher than the decking of the car and not allowed in the cockpit with driver.  Losing weight in any race (i.e. heat, b-main, feature) will result in disqualification for that event and subject to safety violations and suspensions.

14.  Transponder is required and must be mounted on the right-rear axle tube.  Transponders available from track before each event.

15.  Any pre-race technical/safety inspection and car or equipment is deemed unsafe by Tech officials will result in not being allowed to compete. Official’s decisions are final!

 

BODY/FRAME RULES:

  1. American rear wheel drive only. 108" minimum wheelbase 1/2" tolerance. OEM frame only to the center of rearend. No exceptions.

  2. Stock or stock appearing after-market body only, bodies must retain stock appearance. All homemade bodies must be stock looking, and look like what car you're claiming. No station wagons or trucks. Five Star and AR bodies, OK. Stock or aftermarket type roof is optional. Must be mounted level, 2" tolerance with stock looking post or Late Model style sail panels. Sail panels must be open "Large window opening"

  3. Cross breeding bodies and engines ok. Engine manufacturer and body manufacturer may be cros bred....Example: Chevy engine in Ford chassis and body or Dodge/Ford body on Chevy chassis and engine.

  4. Must have steel or aluminum firewall and floor pan to the rear of the driver's seat. Body must be centered on the chassis and be stock appearing all ways.

  5. Aftermarket nose piece is mandatory, No wedge style stock appearing.

  6. Tail piece. FULL firewall from driver to passenger does NOT require a tail piece. Half firewall/no firewall to passenger side WILL REQUIRE a minimum height of 18" tall tailpiece. No holes or gaps in the tailpiece!

  7. All glass and plastic must be removed.

  8. For safety purposes all cars must have minimum 13" wide window opening on both left and right sides in case of emergency.

  9. No raised quarter panels. Top deck height 40" pre-race with no tolerance given. Measured from bottom of spoiler to the ground. Deck width 64" maximum. No fiberglass side body panels anywhere.

  10. Spoiler 8" tall maximum, with 8" side boards (any engine). 60" maximum width rear spoiler, must be centered on the body. Late model style sides.

​

FRONT SUSPENSION

​

   1. Must use a stock steering box, stock drag link and idler arm. Tie rods and ends may be tubular and made heim-           jointed.

   2. Quick steer allowed.

   3. Any stock type spindles allowed (recommended Speedway three (3) piece spindles for ease of repair)

   4. No wide 5 spindles or safety hubs.

   5. Stock production lower control arms of any manufacturer, mandatory. May use tubular lower control arms.                 Must be mounted in stock position with stock mounts. Control arm must be within 1" of factory length.                         Measured from center of dog bone to the center of ball joint. Front coil springs 5" minimum.

   6. Weight jacks allowed.

   7. Tubular aftermarket upper control arms allowed.

   8. Crossmember may not be cut or altered except for fuel pump or oil pan clearance.

​

REAR SUSPENSION 

​

   1. Stock rear suspension only. Triangulated 4 link or leaf springs.

   2. Must be the same as make of car being raced.

   3. Stock rear frames may be repaired from center of rearend housing to rear bumper with square tubing or 1 3/4", .095 minimum thickness round tubing. No square tubing repairs of rear frame rails in front of rearend.

   4. Any stock type rearend housing permitted (GM 10-12 bolts or Ford 9") in any make of car.

   5. No quick change rearend.

   6. Floater axles permitted.

   7. No wide 5 aluminum safety hubs.

   8. Rearends may be locked.

   9. Rear trailing arm mounts at frame or leaf spring mounts must remain in stock position with one mounting hole         only, if it has multiple holes they must be unusable. Trailing arm at the rear end may have multiple adjustment           holes.

  10. Leaf spring cars may run adjustable shackles, sliders or one floating spring.

  11. Lower trailing arms may be boxed or tube type with heims. Upper trailing arms may be adjustable with heims             and multiple holes.

 ENGINES

​

ENGINE OPTION #1 (GM 602) 2,900 LBS

​

   1. GM Part Number 889586602/192586602/88858602

   2. These engines are sealed at the intake manifold, cylinder head, front cover and oil pan with special seals NO                 TWIST OFF BOLT heads will be allowed. Bottle cap seals from Chevrolet Performance, Crate USA Gen. III                     (yellow), (blue) or Gen IV (green or black) and Rush racing seals are the only seals allowed. To compete with                 any other sealing system contact the tech director.

   3. Crate engines must remain stock as they came sealed from the factory and not be altered, modified or changed           from factory specs.

   4. The sealed engines must remain intact and not be tampered with. Any seals that have been removed or                         tampered with will make the engine illegal and not eligible for competition.

   5. The penalty for anyone tampering with seals, modifying any internal engine parts or changing the parts from             stock as delivered sealed from the factory will be subject to expulsion from racing for the remainder of the                   season and future seasons.

   6. No changes are allowed to the engine including the intake manifold, heads, valve covers, front cover, oil pan,               harmonic balancer or any other part(s) on or in the engine.

   7. No vacuum pumps.

   8. Engine's GM serial number or build certification number must be clearly visible to the tech director.

ENGINE OPTION #2 (3,000 LBS with 2 Barrel) (3,100 LBS with 4 Barrel)

​

   1. 362 Cubic inch maximum Chevy, Ford 364 cubic inch maximum factory steel production block. Any cast iron               23 degrees steelhead Chevy, Ford 10 degree steelhead (no raised runner head permitted). No porting or                         polishing of cylinder head.

   2. Maximum valve size 2.02" intake and 1.6" exhaust.

   3. No aluminum heads.

   4. Steel or cast cranks and rods. No exotic material cranks or rods (aluminum or titanium).

   5. Flat top pistons only. Any flat tappet camshaft. Timing chains only, No gear drives.

   6. Any rockers, stud girdles ok. Any valve springs, 1.625" maximum O.D. beehive springs allowed, 1.320" maximum           O.D., any manufacturer (Chevy, Ford or Dodge)

WEIGHT

​

   1. Engine Option 1 (GM 602): 2,900 lbs.

   2. Engine Option 2 (3,000 lbs, 2 Barrel) (3,100 lbs, 4 Barrel)

​

ENGINE SETBACK

​

   1. Engine must be mounted in the stock location, center of the chassis. #1 or #2 spark plug must be in front of or             center line of upper ball joint.

   2. Weight penalties of 50 lbs per 1/2" will be added forward of water pump for improper setback.

​

CARBURETOR

​

   1. GM 602 engines may run 650 Holley.

   2. 500 cfm 2 barrel or 650 cfm 4 barrel on Engine Option #2 . "650 cfm carburetor for 2025 season only. All Non-               Crate Motors will be on 2 barrel 2026 season.

   3. May run 1" maximum carburetor spacer, .040" tolerance (at no point may spacer extend into intake manifold                 area), with 2 standard carburetor gaskets, .070" maximum thickness on either engine.

   4. Carburetors will be checked with go-no-go gauges.

​

IGNITION/DISTRIBUTOR

​

   1. Any standard stock distributor type electronic ignition allowed. MSD Ok.

   2. No magneto and no crank trigger systems.

   3. Absolutely no electronic traction control devices allowed.

   4. Drivers finishing in top 5 may protest another top 5 finishers box for $100...Track keeps $100 protest fee!

​

STARTER

​

  1. All cars must have a starter in working order.

​

WATER PUMP

​

   1. Stock type cast or aluminum permitted.

   2. No electric water pump.

   3. Manual fans only, no electric fans permitted.

​

EXHAUST

​

   1. Collector type headers required. Must have four (4) tubes into one (1) collector of consistent diameter.

​

CLUTCH & TRANSMISSION

​

   1. Automatic transmission with shift kits allowed.

   2. Bert or Brinn transmission allowed.

   3. Must have working reverse.

​

SHOCKS

​

   1. Steel-bodied, symmetric (same size/diameter), non-adjustable shocks only. No Schrader valve shocks. No                    piercing valves. Shock valuing or gas pressures may not be adjustable at racetrack.

   2. No coil overs.

   3. Shocks may be relocated and have eye mounts.

   4. Shocks may be claimed for $250 each by anyone finishing the feature race in the top 5.

   5. NO bump springs on any corner. You can run spring rubbers or bump stops.

BRAKES

​

   1. Must have operational brakes. Dual master cylinders OK

   2.Standard steel rotors only.

   3. No scalloped or gun drilled rotors.

   4. No exotic brake systems.

​

TIRES & WHEELS

​

   1. 8" steel wheels maximum. Beadlocks allowed. No wide 5 wheels or adapters.

   2. Any (8") 26.5 or 27.5 Hoosier or American Racer tire permitted. (WHATEVER TIRE YOU HEAT RACE ON YOU WILL         RACE ON)

   3. No chemically altering of tires.

FUEL/FUEL CELL/FUEL PUMP

​

   1. Racing gas or E-85 only. All fuel must have a specific gravity of .760 maximum. No alcohol.

   2. An approved fuel cell must be securely mounted in the truck area of the race car, inside a .20 gauge metal box             supported by a minimum of two 2"x1/8" steel straps.

   3. Mechanical fuel pump only. Mounted in stock location.

STREET STOCK - PROTEST FEES

​

   1. Anyone in the top 5 can protest and protested may counter protest.

   2. Only 2 people from the protested car and the driver filing the protest will be allowed in the tech area during                 protest. Driving initiating the protest must be present. All officials decisions are final.

   3. Complete tear down 602 engine will be teched as it came from GM by a certified tech. Cost $1,000 tech fee will           be deducted from protest money.

   4. B-engine complete tear down cost $1,000, track will retain 30%.

   5. Remove one head, check head, valves, bore and stroke B-ENGINE ONLY - $500

   6. Fuel test or tire sample $100, track retains 100%.

   7. Visual protest allowed prior to qualifying only and in a timely manner to where racer may have time to fix the               problem. Track will not hold up the program for repairs. Panels may be removed to see parts with reason.  

      Visual protest will cost $50, track will retain 100%.

FRAME AND SUSPENSION:

  1.  FRAMES MUST BE STOCK TYPE, FROM FRONT TO REAR, OEM OR AFTERMARKET.  UNI-BODY CARS MAY CONNECT WITH SUB FRAMES.  X-BRACING ALLOWED.  ALL CARS MUST REMAIN WITHIN ½ INCH OF STOCK WHEEL- BASE OF CAR BEING RACED (108” Min.)  FRAME AND SUSPENSION DOES NOT HAVE TO BE SAME MANUFACTURER OF BODY AND CAR BEING RACED. GM BODY=FORD FRAME, FORD BODY= GM FRAME, ETC.  AFTERMARKET GM REPLACEMENT FRAMES, CRUSA AND UCRA FRAMES ALLOWED.  AFTERMARKET FRAMES MUST USE STOCK SUSPENSION LOCATIONS WITH PROPER BODIES ATTACHED.  JACK-BOLTS ALLOWED ON ALL FOUR CORNERS…COIL-OVER ELIMINATORS ALLOWED ONLY ON CAMARO TYPE FRAMES.
     

  2. FRONT SUSPENSION:  MUST USE STOCK STEERING BOX, STOCK DRAG LINK, IDLE ARM, AFTERMARKET TIE RODS AND TIE ROD ENDS ALLOWED.  QUICK STEER ALLOWED.  STOCK SPINDLES, AND STOCK CAST IRON BRAKE CALLIPERS.  STOCK LOWER CONTROL OR AFTERMARKER LOOK-ALIKES, NO SHORTENING OR LENGTHENING LOWER CONTROL ARMS.  5” COIL SPRINGS MANDATORY, MOUNTED IN STOCK LOCATION.  WEIGHT JACKS ALLOWED, TUBULAR AFTER MARKET UPPER CONTROL ARMS ALLOWED.  STEEL BODIED, NON- ADJUSTABLE SHOCKS ONLY, NO SCHRADER VALVE OR KNOB SHOCKS (SHOCK BUY RULE OF $200).  SHOCKS MUST BE MOUNTED NO MORE THAN 6’ FROM STOCK LOCATIONS (FRONT AND REAR).  NO BUMP STOPS ALLOWED ANYWHERE ON CAR.  CROSS MEMBER MAY NOT BE CUT OR ALTERED EXCEPT FOR FUEL PUMP & OIL PAN CLEARANCE.
     

  3. REAR SUSPENSION:  STOCK REAR SUSPENSION ONLY.  ANY STOCK TYPE REAR END HOUSING PERMITTED, FLOATER REAR ENDS ALLOWED (GM 10-12 BOLTS, OR FORD 9 INCH), IN ANY MAKE OF CAR.  QUICK CHANGE REAR ENDS ALLOWED WITH STEEL TUBES AND STOCK MOUNTS (ADD 150 LBS.).  FLOATER AXLES PERMITTED, MUST USE STEEL LUG PATTERN HUBS, NO WIDE 5 ALLUMINUM HUBS.  REAR END MAY BE LOCKED.  REAR TRAILING ARMS MUST BE STOCK (MAY BE BOXED FOR STRENGTH AND SAFETY), OR STOCK LENGTH TUBULAR NON-ADJUSTABLE TRAILING ARMS OK, ARMS MUST WE WITH IN 1/2'” OF FACTORY LENGTH TRAILING ARMS FOR CAR BEING RACED, 2 ¾” MAX FROM BOTTOM OF HOUSING TO CENTER OF CONTROL ARM BOLT. 5 INCH COIL SPRINGS MANDATORY LEAF SPRING CARS MAY HAVE ADJUSTABLE SHACKLES, OR SLIDERS ON LEAF SPRINGS. SHOCK MUST BOLT WITHIN 6” OF STOCK LOCATION.  NO BUMP STOPS ALLOWED ANYWHERE ON CAR.
     

  4. BRAKES:   MUST HAVE OPERATING BRAKES, DUAL MASTER CYLINDERS OK.  STEEL ROTORS AND CALLIPERS ONLY, NO EXOTIC BRAKE SYSTEMS.  RIGHT FRONT BRAKE SHUT-OFF VALVE OK.

 

CLUTCH AND TRANSMISSION:

  1.   OEM MANUAL TRANSMISSIONS, MAY RUN ANY CLUTCH AND PRESSURE PLATE.  (150 lbs. WEIGHT BREAK).
     

  2.   AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION WITH DIRECT-DRIVE SHIFT KITS ALLOWED, BUT MUST IDLE IN GEAR WITH FOOT BRAKE ON. (100 lbs. WEIGHT BREAK).
     

  3.   BERT, BRINN OR FALCON TRANSMISSION ALLOWED. (NO BALL SPLINE).
     

  4.   DRIVE SHAFT LOOP MANDATORY ALL CARS, MUST BE MOUNTED 5” TO 8” BEHIND FRONT U-JOINT OF DRIVE SHAFT.  ALL DRIVE SHAFTS MUST BE PAINTED WHITE FOR SAFETY.

ENGINE SETBACK RULE:

  1. ENGINE MUST BE MOUNTED IN STOCK LOCATION, CENTER OF CHASSIS.  #1 SPARK PLUG MUST BE IN FRONT OF CENER LINE OF UPPER BALL JOINT.
     

  2. WEIGHT PENALTIES OF 50 LB PER 1 INCH WILL BE ADDED FORWARD OF WATER PUMP FOR IMPROPER SET BACK.

CARBURETOR RULE:

  1. HOLLEY 4412  (500 CFM) 2 BARRELL.  NO PORTING OR POLISHING NO CHANGING OF BOOSTERS OR ALTERING OF CARBURETORS IN ANY WAY.
     

  2. MAY RUN 2” MAXIMUM CARBURETOR SPACER .040” TOLERANCE, AT NO POINT MAY SPACER EXTEND INTO INTAKE MANIFOLD AREA. WITH 2 STANDARD THICKNESS CARBURETOR GASKETS, .070” MAXIMUM THICKNESS. EITHER ENGINE.  THIS INCLUDES BOTH THE 4412 2-BARRELL (500 CFM max) OR THE 4150 4-BARRELL CARB (750 CFM max)
     

  3. 602 CRATE ENGINES MAY RUN ANY 4150 SERIES FOUR BARRELL CARBURETOR, MUST ADD 50 LBS. WEIGHT IN FRONT OF FIREWALL.

SHOCK RULE:

  1. STEEL BODY SHOCKS ONLY

  2. NON-ADJUSTABLE ONLY; NO KNOBS OR SCHRADER VALVING

  3. MUST BOLT WITHIN 6 INCHES OF STOCK LOCATION; FRONT AND REAR

  4. ONLY ONE SHOCK PER CORNER

  5. NO BUMP STOPS ALLOWED ON ANY CORNER

  6. IF SHOCK COVERS ARE USED, THEY MUST BE REMOVED FOR TECH INSPECTION

  7. SHOCKS MUST FULLY COMPRESS AND REBOUND

  8. $200.00 BUY RULE

DISTRIBUTOR RULE:

  1. ANY STANDARD DISTRIBUTOR TYPE. ELECTRONIC IGNITION ALLOWED. MSD OK.  NO MAGNETO’S, AND NO CRANK TRIGGER SYSTEMS.

STARTER RULE:

    1.      ALL CARS MUST HAVE STARTER AND IN WORKING ORDER.  CAR MUST START AND PULL OUT ON ITS OWN.

WATER PUMP RULES:

    1.     STOCK TYPE CAST OR ALUMINUM PERMITTED.

  2.      NO ELECTRIC WATER PUMP.

    3.    MANUAL FANS ONLY, NO ELECTRIC FANS

EXHAUST RULES:

  1.    COLLECTOR TYPE HEADERS REQUIRED. 

  2. MUST HAVE FOUR (4) TUBES INTO ONE (1) COLLECTOR OF A CONSISTENT DIAMETER.  

  3.    NO TRI-Y HEADERS, MERGED HEADERS OR WEED-BURNERS ALLOWED. MUFFLERS NOT REQUIRED.

FUEL CELL - FUEL PUMP RULES:

  1. ANY APPROVED 22 GAL. OR SMALLER FUEL CELL MUST BE SECURELY MOUNTED IN THE TRUNK AREA OF THE

CAR, INSIDE A .20 GAUGE METAL BOX SUPPORTED BY A MINIMUM OF TWO 2" BY 1/8" STEEL STRAPS.
 

  1. PUMP GASOLINE OR RACING GAS ONLY – ETHANOL (E85 ALLOWED) NO METHANOL, OR ALCOHOL - NO NITROUS OXIDE.  NO PROPYLENE OXIDE, OR CHEMICAL ADDITIVES.  FUELS MUST HAVE A SPECIFIC GRAVITY OF LESS THAN .745.  ANY FUEL WITH A SPECIFIC GRAVITY OF .745 OR GREATER WILL BE DISQUALIFIED.  IT IS THE RACERS RESPONSIBILITY TO KNOW WHAT HE/SHE IS PUTTING IN THE FUEL CELL.
     

  2. MECHANICAL FUEL PUMP ONLY, MOUNTED IN STOCK LOCATION. NO ELECTRIC FUEL PUMPS.  NO BELT DRIVEN FUEL PUMPS ALLOWED.

TIRES AND WHEELS:

  1.   8 INCH STEEL WHEELS MAXIMUM.  BEADLOCKS ALLOWED ALL FOUR CORNERS.  BEADLOCK MANDITORY ON RIGHT REAR AND RIGHT FRONT ONLY.   5 ON 5 WHEELS ALLOWED AND RECOMMENDED. 
     

  2.   ANY 60 SERIES MAX. DOT APPROVED RADIAL PASSENGER STREET TIRES (Must be Stamped and approved for highway use).  A 100 LBS. WEIGHT BREAK FOR DOT APPROVED TIRES.
     

  3.  ANY APPROVED 8 INCH OPEN-WHEEL TYPE RACING TIRES – AMERICAN RACER AND HOOSIER TIRES PERMITTED.
     

  4.   NO MIXING OR MIS-MATCHING. ALL 4 TIRES MUST BE DOT TIRES, OR ALL 4 HOOSIERS OR AMERICAN RACERS
     

  5.   SIPING ALLOWED.  NO GROOVING OF TIRES AND NO CHEMICALLY ALTERING OF TIRES.

ENGINE RULES AND WEIGHT RULES:  

 

ENGINE OPTION 1:  2,800 LBS.

1.      GM-602 PART NUMBER 88958602 ,  WEIGHT 2,800 LBS   (GM-602)

2.      THESE ENGINES ARE SEALED AT THE INTAKE MANIFOLD, CYLINDER HEAD, FRONT COVER, AND OIL PAN WITH SPECIAL TWIST OFF BOLT HEADS ORIGINALLY INSTALLED FROM GM.  GM CERTIFIED SEALS ONLY ARE ALLOWED, NO RM BOLTS, FOR ANY OTHER SEALING SYSTEM CONTACT MOUNTAIN VIEW RACEWAY FOR APPROVAL.  CRATE ENGINES MUST NOT BE ALTERED IN ANY WAY, MODIFIED OR CHANGED FROM FACTORY SPECS.

3.      THE SEALED ENGINES MUST REMAIN INTACT AND NOT BE TAMPERED WITH; ANY SEALS THAT HAVE BEEN REMOVED OR TAMPERED WITH WILL MAKE THE ENGINE ILLEGAL AND NOT ELIGIBLE FOR COMPETITION. THE PENALTY FOR ANYONE TAMPERING WITH SEALS, MODIFYING ANY INTERNAL ENGINE PARTS, CHANGING THE PARTS FROM STOCK AS DELIVERED SEALED FROM THE FACTORY WILL BE SUBJECT TO EXPULSION FROM RACING WITH ANY MOUNTAIN VIEW RACEWAY SANCTIONED EVENT FOR THE REMAINDER OF SEASON AND FUTURE SEASONS.

4.      NO CHANGES ARE ALLOWED TO THE ENGINE - INTAKE MANIFOLD, HEADS, VALVE COVERS, FRONT COVER, OIL PAN, HARMONIC BALANCER OR ANY OTHER PART / OR PARTS ON / OR IN ENGINE.

5.     THIS ENGINE COMBINATION (OPTION #1) CAN RUN EITHER CARBURETOR LISTED, THE 4412 2-BARRELL OR THE 4150 4-BARRELL (750 CFM max).  (4150 CARB MUST ADD 50 LBS. WEIGHT IN FRONT OF FIREWALL.)

 

ENGINE OPTION 2:   3,000 LBS.

  1.  MINIMUM WEIGHT 3,000 LB.  362 CUBIC INCH MAXIMUM, FACTORY STEEL BLOCKS, AND OEM STREET PRODUCTION STRAIGHT PLUG STEEL HEADS, RHS VORTEC PART #411, or ENGINE QUEST PART #350C, STOCK REPLACEMENT HEAD OK (173CC MAX INTAKE RUNNER VOLUME NO TOLERANCE). NO PORTING OR POLISHING OF HEADS.  STOCK TYPE VALVES ONLY, 2.02” INTAKE, AND 1.6” EXHAUST MAX, STOCK SIZE STEMS - NO TULIP STEMMED VALVES.  ANY INTAKE MANIFOLD, NO PORTING AND POLISHING.  ANY AFTERMARKET RACING CAST IRON HEAD ALLOWED BUT MUST ADD 100 LBS.  NO ALUMINUM HEADS.  STOCK TYPE REPLACEMENT CRANKS AND RODS, NO EXOTIC MATERIAL CRANKS OR RODS.  CRANK MUST WEIGH OVER 48 IBS.
     

  2. MUST USE STOCK BORE AND STROKE COMBINATION (EX. CHEVROLET 4.060” BORE, 3.48” STROKE), FLAT TOP PISTONS ONLY. ANY FLAT TAPPET CAMSHAFT ONLY. NO ROLLER CAMS. TIMING CHAINS ONLY NO GEAR DRIVES.
     

  3.  STUD MOUNT ROCKERS ONLY.  NO STUD GIRDLES.  STOCK DIAMETER VALVE SPRINGS ONLY, 1.25” MAXIMUM O.D.  BEEHIVE SPRINGS ALLOWED.

  4. THIS ENGINE OPTION MAY RUN EITHER OF THE TWO CARBS LISTED, BUT IF USE THE 4412 2-BARRELL CARB (500 CFM max) AND RECEIVE A 100 LBS. WEIGHT BREAK.


 

ENGINE OPTION 3: 3,400 LBS.

 

  1.  ANY ENGINE LARGER THAN 362 CUBIC INCHES (406 Max.) AND USING ANY BORE AND STROKE COMBINATION,

  2.  THIS ENGINE OPTION USES OPTION-2 FOR ROLLER CAM AND LIFTERS AND STUD GIRDLES AND MUST WEIGH A MINIMUM OF 3,400 LB AND HAVE CUBIC INCHES PROMINANTLY DISPLAYED ON HOOD. 

  3. ENGINE OPTION 3 MUST USE ENGINE OPTION 2 CYLINDER HEAD AND INTAKE RULE ( 1. )

  4. THIS ENGINE OPTION MAY RUN THE 4412 2-BARRELL CARB. (500 cfm MAX) OR THE 4150 4-BARRELL (750 cfm MAX).  IF USING THE 4150 4-BARRELL CARB, (750 cfm MAX), MUST ADD 100 POUNDS TO CAR.
