VALVOLINE IRONMAN SERIES OFFERS BONUSES TO LOCAL LIMITED LATE MODELS


SPRING CITY, TN – The Valvoline Ironman Super Late Model Series will highlight the racing action this Saturday night with a $5,000-to-win 40-lap Main Event at Mountain View Raceway. While the track’s Limited Late Model Division will be off for points racing this Saturday night, the series will offer them Special Bonus Money if they choose to compete.


The Series is offering the highest finishing Limited Late Model powered by an All-Steel, a Chevrolet Performance CT525, or SPEC Engine a $200 Bonus, along with the second and third highest finishing cars powered by one of the three options a $100 Bonus, The Series will also pay a $100 Bonus to the highest finishing car powered by a Chevrolet Performance 604 Crate Engine.


Drivers traveling with the Valvoline Ironman Super Late Model Series include Stacy Boles of Clinton, TN, Michael Chilton of Salvisa, KY, Christian Hanger of Winchester, TN, “The Coach” David Payne of Murphy, NC, John Llewellyn of Knoxville, TN, Heath Hindman of Signal Mountain, TN, and “Little Sexy” Cody Overton of Evans, GA.


Local Late Model favorites looking to keep the big money at home include the defending and three-time Mountain View Raceway Late Model Champion Barry Goodman of Spring City, TN, Addison Cardwell of Knoxville, TN, “Mr. Excitement” Kyle Courtney of Knoxville, TN, and four-time Late Model winner last season at Mountain View Raceway, John Ownbey of Cleveland, TN.


Along with the Valvoline Ironman Super Late Models, the Mountain View Raceway Sportsman, Open-Wheel Modified, B-Hobby, Thunder, Front-Wheel-Drive, and Junior Front-Wheel-Drive Divisions will be in action with Weekly Point Races this Saturday night on the ¼-mile high-banked clay oval.


This Saturday, the Pit Gate opens at 3 p.m. and the Grandstand and Tier Parking Gates open at 4 p.m. The Mandatory Pre-Race Registration and Technical Inspection will be from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. The Drivers Meeting is set for 6:15 p.m. and Hot Laps are scheduled for 6:45 p.m.


Pit Passes are $40 for Adults, $20 for Children 6-11, and Children 5 and under are admitted Free. The General Admission and Tier Parking ticket prices are $20 for race fans 12 and older, Children 6-11 are $10. and Children 5 and under are admitted Free. All Children must be accompanied by an Adult.
