LOWE FINDS VICTORY LANE IN MOUNTAIN VIEW RACEWAY LATE MODELS

SPRING CITY, TN – Jesse Lowe of Crossville, TN drove the C&C Auto Mastersbilt to a clean sweep victory on Saturday night in the 25-lap Late Model Feature Race at Mountain View Raceway. The win was a change of misfortunes for the second-generation driver since stepping into the #417 race car last month.

”What a night!,” Lowe wrote on his Facebook page. “Finally got Harley Maginness and Rusty Caraway a win in Limiteds (Late Model)!!! These guys literally have Nothing Special besides HEART that is put into this car! To bring them home a win is something I’ll ALWAYS cherish.

If anyone is looking for a family to sponsor, they deserve it!“

Lowe has had several occasions when he was in a position to win races, but had wrecks not of his own doing or mechanical issues put him out of the race. Lowe took the checkered flag in heavy lapped traffic with defending and three-time track champion Barry Goodman of Spring City, TN, Colton Profitt of Crossville, TN, and Kelby Norwood of Etowah, TN on his back bumper.

Goodman finished second in the Charlie’s Used Auto Parts CVR, Profitt was third coming back from a lap two spin driving the Wyatt Builders Capital Race Car, and Norwood took the fourth spot in the Stacey Suttles Trucking Rocket. Lowe swept the Division by setting Fast Time in Qualifying with a lap around the ¼-mile high-banked clay oval in 11.441 seconds to earn the pole position for the Main Event. Lowe took the lead at the drop of the green flag and led all 25 laps for the victory. Goodman did make it a challenge by staying right with the leader bidding for the point throughout the race.

Jeremy Shannon of Wartburg, TN won the 20-lap Sportsman Main Event driving the Shannon Racing Special. Lowe finished second in the Hogan Racing Mastersbilt with third going to Brandon Stanfield of Soddy Daisy, TN driving the Frizzell Excavating Mastersbilt.

David Doss of Cleveland, TN took the fourth spot in the Doss Racing Special and Bradley Goodman of Spring City, TN rounded out the top five in the Goody’s Power Sweeping Rocket. Shannon at one point in the race had a half-lap lead while Lowe, Stanfield, Doss and Goodman put on a show for second, taking turns holding the position.
