JUNIOR FRONT-WHEEL-DRIVE ADDED TO SEPTEMBER 25 RACE PROGRAM
SPRING CITY, TN – Mountain View Raceway officials have announced that the Junior Front-Wheel-Drive Division has been added to the September 25 race program at the ¼-mile high-banked clay oval. The Junior Front-Wheel-Drive Division is for kids 15 years of age and younger. The Junior Front-Wheel-Drive Division will also run on October 2.
“The kids did such a great job in their race on September 11, we wanted to reward them by adding an additional race for them on September 25,” Track co-owner Susan Hampton said. “They raced clean and green for ten laps putting on a good show for the fans.”
The Junior Front-Wheel-Drive Division is supervised by veteran Front-Wheel-Drive competitors that teach the youngsters the correct way to race, with an emphasis on competing in a safe manner. The previous three races have been won by Chevy Adams of Crossville, TN on June 26, Rebeacca Gresham of Decatur, TN on August 7, and Ethan Johnson of Crossville, TN on September 11.
Mountain View Raceway will take this Saturday night (September 18) off, but will return to action on Saturday night, September 25 with a Regular Weekly Points Race for the Late Model, Sportsman, Beginner Sportsman, Open-Wheel Modified, B-Hobby, Thunder, and Front-Wheel-Drive Divisions.
On Saturday, September 25, the Pit Gate opens at 3 p.m. and the Grandstand/Tier Parking Gates open at 4 p.m. Pre-Race Registration and Technical Inspection will be from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Drivers Registering after 6 p.m. will start at the rear of a Heat Race or get one lap of Qualifying. The Drivers Meeting is set for 6:15 p.m.
Pit Passes are $25 for Adults, $15 for Children 6-11, and Children 5 and under are admitted Free. The General Admission and Tier Parking ticket prices are $10 for race fans 12 and older, Children 6-11 are $5. and Children 5 and under are admitted Free. All Children must be accompanied by an Adult.
