SPRING CITY, TN – Mountain View Raceway presents the 3rd Annual Rocky Top Rumble for the Late Model Division this Saturday night, plus racing in four other Divisions. The 40-lap Feature Race will pay $2,500-to-win at the ¼-mile high-banked clay oval.
Brandon Miller of Maryville, TN is the defending champion of the Rocky Top Rumble driving the Maryville Nutrition CVR. Miller tuned up for this Saturday night’s race with a third-place finish at Mountain View Raceway in the 2022 Season Opener on March 26.
Also expected are the winners of the first two nights of Late Model racing at Mountain View Raceway in the 2022 racing season, Josh Walker of Ringgold, GA driving the Nichols Fiberglass Mastersbilt and Hayden Ownbey of Cleveland, TN in the Ownbey Racing Special, plus the top Late Model drivers from four different states.
The defending and three-time Mountain View Raceway Late Model Champion Barry Goodman of Spring City, TN will be on hand in the Charlie’s Used Auto Parts CVR, along with Tyler Nichols of Ringgold, GA in the Nichols Racing Longhorn. Both Goodman and Nichols have top five finishes in the first two races this season at Mountain View Raceway.
Along with the Late Models, the Sportsman, Thunder, Front-Wheel-Drive, and Beginner Sportsman Divisions will also be in action this Saturday night at Mountain View Raceway. The Pit Gate opens at 3 p.m. and the Grandstand and Tier Parking Gates open at 4 p.m. Pre-Race Registration and Technical Inspection will be from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. The Drivers Meeting is set for 6:15 p.m. and Hot Laps are scheduled for 6:45 p.m.
Pit Passes are $30 for Adults, $15 for Children 6-11, and Children 5 and under are admitted Free. The General Admission and Tier Parking ticket prices are $10 for race fans 12 and older, Children 6-11 are $5. and Children 5 and under are admitted Free. All Children must be accompanied by an Adult.
