RULE BOOK DISCLAIMER

The rules and/or regulations set forth herein are designed to provide for the orderly conduct of racing events and to establish minimum acceptable requirements for such events. These rules shall govern the condition of all events, and by participating in these events, all participants are deemed to have complied with these rules. NO EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OF SAFETY SHALL RESULT FROM PUBLICATIONS OF OR COMPLIANCE WITH THESE RULES AND/OR REGULATIONS. They are intended as a guide for the conduct of the sport and are in no way a guarantee against injury or death to a participant, spectator or official.

The race director shall be empowered to permit reasonable and appropriate deviation from any of the specifications herein or impose any further restrictions that in his/her opinion does not alter the minimum acceptable requirements. NO EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OF SAFETY SHALL RESULT FROM SUCH ALTERATION OF SPECIFICATIONS.  Any interpretation or deviation of these rules is left to the discretion of the officials. Their decision is final.

The Management of MOUNTAIN VIEW RACEWAY

 

a. 4-cylinder Front Wheel Drive normally aspirated engine. Stock for make and model – Dodge to a Dodge, Honda to a Honda.

b. All safety equipment required. See General Rules section.

c. WEIGHT: 1 pound per cc, with a minimum 1,800 pounds “after race.”

d. TIRE: DOT tire only. Must have DOT stamp on the sidewall. No racing tires, this includes DOT approved racing tires such as Hoosier, American Racer, etc. No donut tires allowed on any corner of the car.

e. WHEEL: Aftermarket wheels, OK. Beadlocks can run on any corner, not mandatory on Right Front but highly recommended (due to back order on some models); highly recommended on Right Rear but not required. Must run aftermarket or aluminum factory wheel on right side, beadlock recommended. No factory steel wheels period on right side of car; OK to run on left side. 8-inch max width only.

f. SUSPENSION: Stock for make and model. May change camber. No coilovers.

g. DRIVELINE: Stock, but may weld differential.

h. ENGINE: Stock, but may change intake in front of throttle body. K&N air filter, OK. May run header. No turbos or superchargers. May run chipped computer for gearing. Everything else must be the way it left the factory. Tech manual required for your motor specs, if not available upon request for protest you will be DQ'd. 

i. CAR EXTERIOR: Stock, but all glass/moldings/trim must be removed. Damaged body panels can be replaced with fabricated parts, but “must” still look like the car originally did. Must have complete bumper in rear section, hatchback may be open.

j. No performance parts on the car. This is meant to be an entry level, inexpensive class.

l. COMPUTER CLAIM: $100 claim rule on the computer after the feature. Anyone who finishes the race, on the lead lap, can claim the computer.

The FWD class is separated into 2 features. Anytime there are separate features, there will be a $300 "Top End" buy rule in place for the B Feature. This includes a complete head as well as intake and throttle body. The buy rule is for anyone who finishes top 5 in the feature. Buyer must state to the tech man when crossing the scale the car number he is buying and have cash in hand within 5 minutes of crossing after the feature has ended. Any driver that refuses to sell will receive a DQ the first time. any driver that refuses to sell a 2nd time will receive a DQ and will not be able to race in that feature again.

NOTE: IT IS MANDATORY TO HAVE A MANUAL FOR YOUR MAKE AND MODEL OF CAR FOR POST RACE INSPECTION CONCERNS.

SAFETY:

  1. Racing helmet, not motorcycle helmet, SA 2005 or newer is required

  2. Minimum single layer fire suit required

  3. Racing gloves required

  4. A 4 or 5 point harness required. Date code must be within 3 yrs of manufacture date. Anything older must be inspected and approved by track

  5. Factory Racing aluminum seat mandatory, no plastic or fiberglass seat allowed.

  6. Window net recommended, sprint car v-type ok

  7. Racing fuel cell recommended but not required

  8. Fire extinguisher mandatory and must be in reach of the driver

  9. Racecievers mandatory and must be working at all times while on the track.

  10. Front & rear pick up loops for wrecker mandatory.

LEGALITY WILL BE DETERMINED IN PRE-RACE INSPECTION
